My High School Mems

Parent's Chance to Share Their Peak Performances

Every parent wants the same outcome for their student.  We all want positive, successful citizens who will strive in their chosen field.  We want children who will pass the generational torch down with our, (parents) signatures and influences as a part of that flame.

Are we parents losing our influence to other sources?  Is youtube, myspace and others creating the stories and legacies that once were passed down to our children from their parents.  With school dropout rates increasing and a lack of focus so prevalent, we need a new form of communication to help our young adults realize the value and potential associated with staying in school.

Here is where you, the parent, can make a difference.

If you went to high school, there were several peak moments that you experienced that stayed in your memory.  Even 20-30 years later, that memory is still vivid and makes you smile when you think about it.  Why not take them off of the mental shelf and give it as a gift to the world.  Your school mems are important!!

The My School Mems Request:

The request is simple but powerful.  Go to the high school memories blog and post your story as a comment.  As more and more positive stories are posted, the impact on our young will be amazing.  We will be constantly spreading the news to school officials who will have a place to send students to learn the value of peak experience and where they can take them.

Picture it, a running log of positive experiences that will reach across the geographic boundaries.  Please go to the site and tell your story.  We need you to give our young adults something they can't get from youtube or myspace.  Give them a story that they will relate to and be inspired by.  Let's start a new channel of communication.
